Power of Now

I was instructed by some dear one to read 'Power of Now' & was gifted a copy. Instructions do not go well with me and the book was left in its original cover for a long long time. Recently one of the Journal buddy mentioned about it and that induced me to pick the book up, dust the cover and keep in my traveling bag for reading during my next flight. Boy! the book is really good. It takes you to another plane of realisation. Every moment is becoming 'past' even as I write this . The feeling is unsettling as it focuses on vulnerability of life and lends urgency to every issue, activity & process. This reminds me of a couplet of Late Dr Bucchan (yes- Amitab's father)
Bhoot bhi tha Bhavya, Bhavishya bhi Mahan hai;
Isee ko sambhaliye jo ki vartman hai
(We live in the glory of past and in hope for better day in future. Better sort out the present which is under your control.) Do it NOW. Interesting to preach to others and good material for public lecture!

Security

Indian airports are very security conscious. Lighter/ match box is not allowed to pass security check and if found, is confiscated. So far so good. But Hyderabad airport boasts international airport facilities and has a smoking chamber. (the only air port in India to have such facility). The Chamber ,however, is located AFTER the security check gate. So you can have your butt can't light that!

School

Now children of Delhi can go to school only in their own locality.If a good school in your locality does not exist, that would be just too bad. If a a child wishes to attend good school, he should choose parents who can afford to live in good locality! What a mess! After reservation for every possible cast, creed & religion (except merit) this another ''shagoofa of our masters, the politicians!
